The 2009 Sporting Chefs charity event was a great success. Despite the best efforts of David Hirst professionally hindering the other teams all the food was superb and went out on time without a hitch. Very well done to all the celebrity chefs in working very hard in the kitchen and out front helping to raise the most money from all the guests.
John Beresford ably assisted by David Hirst made a superb auctioneer again, eeking every last penny from the wallets in the room. I don't think Clinton Woods would have bullied them as much! The highlight of the auction was £1200.00 bid for the Park Hotel break in Kenmare and a last minute entry of a Pudsey Bear signed by Sir Terry Wogan himself fetching £130.00. The Steiff bear made a superb £700.00 and is a sure investment for the future.
